Bane's P.A.W.S. specializes in training Cane Corso dogs to assist veterans struggling with PTSD. Our service dog program is designed to create highly trained companions who provide comfort, stability, and support to veterans in their daily lives.

At Bane’s P.A.W.S., we begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) at just 3 days old. This process, based on the U.S. Military’s “Bio-Sensor” program, involves a series of gentle exercises designed to stimulate the puppies’ nervous systems. These brief but targeted activities include tactile stimulation, head elevation, and environmental enrichment. The benefits of ENS include:

1. Improved cardiovascular performance
2. Stronger heartbeats
3. Greater resistance to stress
4. Enhanced immune system strength

Puppy Culture
by Jane Killian

The cornerstone of our puppy rearing process. This scientifically based program ensures that puppies are exposed to vital socialization and learning experiences in the first 12 weeks of life. The program focuses on:
01.
Critical Early Socialization: From 3 to 16 days, puppies are exposed to various sensory stimuli to promote healthy neurological development.
02.
Early Problem-Solving: Puppies are introduced to simple challenges that build confidence and resilience.
03.
Positive Reinforcement: We employ positive reinforcement to guide puppies through early obedience, crate training, and socialization with humans and other animals.
04.
Transition to Service Training: As the puppies grow, their foundational skills are shaped toward becoming fully trained PTSD service dogs.
